Jigsaws Galore App Reviews

I’ve tried several puzzle apps for the computer and this one is THE BEST. The graphics are better than any other available apps or free puzzle websites and there are plenty of puzzles to get you started. When I completed all of the available puzzles in Jigsaws Galore Free, I paid a couple of dollars and purchased Jigsaws Galore. Once I completed those, I downloaded my own pictures from the internet, and a few of my own snapshots as well. The photographs available on the internet are endless. I take fifteen minutes or so to search, choose and download a bunch of pictures from the internet. Architecture, beaches, trees, animals, flowers, you name it and you can find it. Then, in the Jigsaws Galore app, click on the ‘create’ button, then create picture from picture file.’ Search for the picture you want from ‘downloads,’ then click ‘open.’ When you do this, a box labeled, ‘create a puzzle’ will appear. From there you can set the number of pieces you prefer, I like mine around 275. You can also set the puzzle piece shape and other options as well. I do puzzles with my grandchildren too. They help find pictures they want to use for their puzzle. Then, set the puzzles to six, twelve, twenty-four or more pieces depending on their age. We share special one on one time and now when they visit, they always want to do puzzles with Nene!

It comes with calendar pictures but you can add your own and mess with the pieces, the sizes, the number and complexity. Good job.

This app is easy to use and fun. There are numerous options, e.g. number of pieces, that you can select. Also, you can create a puzzle with one of your own pictures. I have had this app for a long time and it is one of my favorites.

There are all kinds of ways to make the puzzles harder or easier and the best part is being able to create one’s own puzzles from any photos. Can’t stop making and solving these puzzles.

I LOVE this ap! It is the absolute best jigsaw app out there. The customer service if also great. David will answer your questions and help you all you need.

I love puzzles and their selection is varied and wide. They are all beautiful and very colorful.

This is a Excellent program for the computer - Great fun to work them out. It has choices to pick from.

I love this app. It isnt complicated and it NEVER crashes on me. After a long day of work I like to come home and unwind with simple fun stuff. This is perfect for me. The ONLY thing is I wish they had more puzzles! $15 for a new pack of puzzles?!?! Ugh. Thats the only thing but the app is so good I don’t even want to take a star away from it for that reason.

I just love, love, love this app. I adore jigsaw puzzles in general. This is a much easier way to do jigsaws. There is no mess, sorting or lost pieces. At home I have now where to make my puzzles. I have many brandnew unopened puzzles with no where to make them. The pictures are wonderful. I love all the different catagories from which to choose. Classic art is maybe the one I dont care for most of all. The pictures are beautiful but like art, they are somewhat unclear. Will keep buying when I finish the ones I have now. Best thing of all, you can bring them with you when you travel.

I have been playing Jigsaws Galore - the free version for Mac - for about a year. I dont know why it took me so long, but I bought the full version a couple of weeks ago & I am even more addicted! My mom & I have always done jigsaw puzzles together - taking over the dining room table so that everyone had to eat meals in the living room on tv trays. Those are fond memories! Years ago I had a PC & bought Brainsbreaker for about $20. My mom had Brainsbreaker on her PC also. But when I got a Mac, Brainsbreaker was not available for me. I searched for different apps for my Mac but none even compared to Brainsbreaker - until I found Jigsaws Galore. My favorite feature is being able to make puzzles out of my own pictures. I love to take photos of beautiful scenery - plants - flowers. Everytime I do - I try to take photos that would make great jigsaw puzzles. Thanks so much David for creating this app - I am a fan forever!!!

I bought this based on it having the highest average review, but I should have downloaded the demo first. It has a nice selection of features, as per the other reviews, but it doesn’t have retina support. Mac OS X runs it in compatibility mode with software upscaling, which makes it look unpleasantly blocky on both my retina iMac and MacBook Pro. For some apps upscaling works decently. But for an app like this where you pay constant attention to the edges of the pieces, the stairstep blocks stay in constant focus. It’s a deal breaker.

I absolutely love this jigsaw puzzles pack, but would like more!!!!! I don’t have time to make them on my own. Please offer more. Your app is by far the best I have seen and used.

If you like jigsaw puzzles, this is a MUST HAVE. Some puzzles come with it, and MANY more are available from the developer. You can also make your own from any .jpg file. YOU determine difficulty. You can determine the number of pieces from 4 to over 1,000. You can determine the number of “Fun Pieces”. It can make all pieces “right side up” or random rotation. It can sort pieces by shape, color or no sort. With the click of the mouse, you can pick up all edge pieces or center pieces or fun pieces. The picture can be displayed in the background or not shown. You may even select from 6 basic shapes. Puzzles may be reset and solved again with same or different parameters. It is all up to your choices. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

This is a great game but I have a Mac and once I put all the puzzles together in a set I can’t do them again. There is directions to reset but it doesn’t work on the Mac. I hope they will fix this because I have like 20 different sets of puzzles that I would like to reset.

I LOVE this app. In my opinion is is one of the best jigsaws available. Great exercise for the brain!

I love this app. The puzzles are fun and they really keep your brain active. However, I played all the puzzles in the Jigsaw Galore Free first not knowing that the majority of puzzles in this collection were the same. The 50 puzzles that you receive with this set (not available in the free) are BEAUTIFUL!!! Also, I’ve had some issues creating my own puzzles on my MAC. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the app itself or trouble with my settings. If you like jigsaws, it’s worth a buy!

This app is the best jigsaw app available. Like Apple, “It just works!”. Very flexible, easily configured with marvelous pictures. Love it!!! It’s fun to research the locations after you complete the puzzles. Have learned a lot of interesting information.
